South African to United States Visa Required

Passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your planned stay in the United States.

You must complete the DS-160 online visa application form and bring the confirmation barcode to your visa interview.

You must provide a passport-size photo according to U.S. visa photo specifications.

Proof of round-trip or onward flight to demonstrate intent to leave the U.S. after the visit.

Proof of accommodation arrangements during your stay in the United States.

Recent bank statements demonstrating sufficient funds to cover your expenses while in the United States.

A clear explanation of your travel intent for tourism purposes.

Ink-free, digital fingerprint scans and a photo are taken during the visa interview.

Letter from your employer confirming your employment status and leave of absence, supporting your intent to return to South Africa.

Proof of travel insurance covering medical emergencies is recommended but not mandatory.
