South African to Rwanda Visa on Arrival

A valid South African passport with at least six months validity remaining from the date of entry into Rwanda and with at least one blank page.

A clear passport-size photo meeting official specifications for visa application.

Completed and submitted visa application form either online via the official eVisa portal or at arrival for visa on arrival.

Return or onward flight tickets showing confirmed travel arrangements.

Proof of hotel accommodation booking or invitation letter if hosted by a resident or company in Rwanda.

An active email address to receive the eVisa confirmation and further correspondence.

Proof of yellow fever vaccination may be required at the border, especially if arriving from a yellow fever endemic country.

Travel insurance covering the duration of the stay in Rwanda is recommended but not always mandatory.
