American to Iceland Visa Free (90 days)

Passport must be valid for at least three months beyond the intended date of departure from Iceland. Six months validity beyond the planned date of departure from the Schengen area is recommended. Failure to meet this may result in refusal of boarding or entry.

Proof of onward or return flight reservation is required to show intention to leave Iceland within the visa-free period.

Travelers must demonstrate they have enough funds to cover their stay in Iceland but specific amount is not set; subject to border control discretion.

Biometric data of applicants is collected as part of visa procedures for those applying for visas; however, since U.S. citizens do not require a visa for stays up to 90 days, this mainly applies if a visa is needed for extended stays.
