American to Finland Visa Free (90 days)

Passport must be valid for at least three months beyond the planned departure date from Finland. It should be machine-readable and preferably biometric.

Travel insurance must cover the entire Schengen area, valid for the entire stay, with minimum coverage of EUR 30,000 for medical emergencies, hospitalization, and repatriation.

Proof of booked outbound and return/continuation flight tickets to and from Finland.

Confirmation of accommodation bookings covering the entire duration of stay in Finland.

Proof of sufficient funds to cover daily expenses during the stay, at least EUR 50 per day, including funds for return or onward travel.

Optional statement explaining the reason for tourism visit to Finland.

Only required if applying for a visa, which is not necessary for US tourist travelers for stays up to 90 days.

One recent color photograph meeting visa photo specifications, required only if a visa application is necessary.
