Visa requirements for Sudanese passport holders traveling to United States
Valid passport with 6+ months validity
Passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the intended stay in the United States. Passport must contain at least 2 blank pages.
Completed visa application form
Complete the Nonimmigrant Visa Application Form DS-160 online and obtain confirmation page. This form must be filled out before scheduling visa interview.
Passport photograph
Get InstantlyPassport-sized photo meeting U.S. visa photo requirements. Photo will be uploaded while completing Form DS-160 online. If upload fails, bring one printed photo in required format to interview.
Visa application fee payment receipt
Non-refundable visa application fee of $160 USD must be paid before interview. Keep payment receipt as proof of payment for visa appointment.
Appointment confirmation page
Confirmation page from scheduled visa interview appointment at U.S. Embassy in Cairo or other designated location conducting nonimmigrant visa processing for Sudanese citizens.
Proof of trip purpose
Evidence of tourism purpose such as travel itinerary, cover letter explaining trip details, or hotel/tour booking confirmations.
Proof of sufficient funds
Bank statements from last 6 months or other financial documents demonstrating ability to cover all expenses during U.S. visit. If unable to cover all costs, provide evidence that another person will cover some or all expenses.
Proof of intent to return to home country
Evidence of ties to Sudan such as employment letter, leave approval letter from employer, property ownership documentation, or family ties demonstrating intent to return after temporary visit.
Biometric data collection (fingerprints and photo)
Biometric information including fingerprints and digital photograph will be collected during visa interview appointment.
