Nigerian to Latvia Visa Required

Passport must be valid at least three months beyond the departure date from the Schengen area, issued in the past ten years, and contain at least two blank pages.

Visa application form must be completed (online or paper), printed, and signed by the applicant.

Two recent color passport photographs (35mm x 45mm, taken in the last six months, white background).

Travel medical insurance covering the entire Schengen area for the duration of stay, minimum coverage EUR 30,000 for medical, hospitalization, and repatriation.

Proof of sufficient financial means: At least EUR 14 per day for stays up to 30 days; EUR 740 for more than 30 days. Acceptable documents include recent bank statements.

Proof of accommodation such as hotel reservation or invitation letter with address details and duration of stay.

Proof of onward and return travel: Flight reservation or ticket that shows entry and exit from Latvia or Schengen area.

Document explaining the purpose of travel—such as tourism. May be written by applicant or provided as a cover letter.

Receipt or confirmation of payment for the visa fee, typically $85 USD payable at the Latvian consulate.

Applicants must provide biometric data (fingerprints and a photograph) when applying; exempt if already enrolled for Schengen visa in past five years.

Applicants should provide copies of any previously issued visas for Latvia or other Schengen countries, if available.
