Nigerian to Germany Visa Required

Passport must be valid at least 3 months beyond intended departure date from Germany, issued within the last 10 years, and with at least two blank pages.

Signed and fully completed Schengen visa form for short-stay (type C), downloaded from the German Embassy website.

Two identical photographs, not older than 6 months, sized 3.5 x 4.5 cm, with a uniform light background, not stapled or glued.

Signed declaration confirming accuracy of information given in the application.

Original and signed/stamped personal bank statements for the last 3 months showing sufficient funds for the trip.

Travel/medical insurance valid for the entire Schengen area and full duration of stay, minimum EUR 30,000 coverage.

Reservation of round-trip flight ticket (no actual ticket purchase required until visa is granted).

Hotel reservation or confirmation for the full duration of stay, or invitation letter from a host stating address and duration.

Typed and signed cover letter explaining the trip purpose, itinerary and itinerary details.

If employed: Employment contract, introduction letter, and statement of leave (certificate of holiday) with salary slips for last 3 months.

Official ‘Verpflichtungserklärung’ (if sponsored by person in Germany), signed at the local authority in Germany.

If visiting friends or family, a signed invitation letter from the host in Germany stating relationship, address, and duration.

Marriage certificate, birth certificates (if applicable), land/title deeds or property documents (if relevant).
