Nigerian to Botswana Visa Required

Your passport must have at least six months validity beyond your planned date of departure from Botswana, with at least three unused pages.

Fill in the official Botswana visa application form (Form 1). This can be completed online via the official e-visa portal or at an embassy.

Provide two recent color passport-size photographs.

A certified (notarized) copy of the passport data page showing name, photograph, and validity details.

A personal cover letter addressed to the Botswana Embassy/Consulate stating the purpose and duration of your trip.

Proof of accommodation bookings, or if staying with a host, provide the residential address in Botswana.

A copy of your flight itinerary showing entry into and departure from Botswana.

A recent bank statement (at least the first page) to demonstrate financial means to support the trip.

A brief statement or letter declaring your intent to leave Botswana at the end of your visit.

If you are not a resident of Nigeria, provide a re-entry permit to your country of residence.

If you are staying with a host, an invitation letter stating your name, relationship, duration, and purpose of stay is recommended.

For applicants staying with residents, a sworn affidavit signed by the host at a Botswana immigration office may be requested.

A certified copy of the host's relevant identity (Omang), residence permit, or related document if applicable.

While not always mandatory, a travel medical insurance certificate covering your stay is advisable.
