Malaysian to United States Visa Required

Passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your planned period of stay in the United States.

Submit the online nonimmigrant visa application form DS-160 and print the confirmation page to bring to your interview.

One recent color photograph taken within the last 6 months, white background, 51mm x 51mm, full-face view.

Payment of the non-refundable visa application fee of USD 185 must be made before scheduling the interview; bring receipt to interview.

Schedule and attend an interview at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate where fingerprints and photograph will be taken for biometric identification.

Provide proof of round-trip or onward travel bookings to demonstrate intent to depart the U.S. after visit.

Provide proof of accommodation for the duration of stay in the United States.

Explain the purpose of your trip, demonstrating reasons for temporary stay and intent to return to Malaysia.

Provide a letter from current employer stating your position, salary, and approved leave for the trip to demonstrate strong ties to Malaysia.

Provide recent bank statements showing sufficient funds to cover your travel and stay in the United States.
