Kenyan to Iceland Visa Required

Passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond the planned departure date from the Schengen area. It must have at least two blank pages and be issued within the last 10 years.

Fill out and sign the official Schengen visa application form for tourist purposes.

Recent passport-sized photograph (35mm x 45mm), showing the full face against a light background according to EU visa photo standards.

Schengen medical insurance covering at least €30,000 for medical emergencies, hospital admission, and repatriation, valid for the entire stay in the Schengen area.

Reservation evidence showing confirmed entry and exit flights from Iceland (or Schengen area). Tickets do not have to be paid yet.

Proof of accommodation for the entire duration of your stay (hotel booking, rental agreement, or invitation if staying with a host).

Recent bank statements demonstrating sufficient funds (at least €65 per day of stay) for the last 3–6 months.

A brief cover letter describing your reason for visiting Iceland, duration, planned route, and intent to return to Kenya.

Proof of payment of the Schengen visa fee (currently approx. US$95), paid to the responsible visa center.

Outline or list of daily activities and locations to be visited in Iceland.

Provide a signed letter from your employer confirming employment, recent payslip, or proof of self-employment/business registration if applicable.

Optional but recommended. Provide previous passports with old visas or entry/exit stamps to demonstrate travel history.

If you are staying with family/friends, supply an invitation letter from the Icelandic host stating purpose, address, and dates, plus a copy of the host's passport and, if applicable, residence permit.

If the applicant is a minor, or as proof of home ties, provide an official birth certificate.
