British to Kenya Visa Required

Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of arrival in Kenya. This is a mandatory requirement for all British citizens.

Your passport must have at least 2 blank pages at the time of arrival in Kenya. These pages are required for immigration processing.

A recent passport-sized photograph with a white background is required for the eTA application. The photo must meet standard passport photo specifications.

British citizens must apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization online at www.etakenya.go.ke before traveling to Kenya. Applications must be submitted at least 5 business days (72 hours minimum) before travel. eTAs are not issued on arrival. The eTA is valid for 90 days from approval and allows for tourism, business, and transit purposes.

A clear, color scan or photograph of the information page of your passport (typically page 2 or 3) and the last page of your passport must be provided for the eTA application.

Valid email address and contact details are required for the eTA application. You will receive your approved eTA via email.

While not always mandatory, accommodation details may be required or requested during the eTA application process. Having a hotel confirmation letter is recommended.

While optional, providing details about your purpose of visit (tourism) and planned activities may strengthen your eTA application.
