Passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the date of intended departure from South Africa.

Fully completed and signed South African visa application form obtained from the embassy or consulate.

Recent passport-sized color photograph meeting South African visa photo specifications.

Proof of onward or return travel from South Africa such as confirmed flight tickets.

Proof of accommodation of the entire stay in South Africa.

Recent bank statements demonstrating sufficient funds to cover the visit expenses.

Fingerprint scans and a digital photograph will be taken at the time of visa application submission.

Travel insurance covering medical and emergency expenses during the stay (recommended but not always mandatory).

Optional letter explaining purpose of visit and itinerary.
