Payment of the $185 non-refundable visa application fee before the interview

Applicants are required to provide fingerprints and a digital photograph at the visa application center or embassy

Letter from current employer verifying employment status and leave of absence (if employed)

Optional but recommended to have travel insurance covering medical emergencies during stay in the United States
