Bulgarian passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended period of stay in the United States. The passport should be in good condition and not damaged.

Form DS-160 (Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application) must be completed and submitted online through the official U.S. Department of State website before scheduling an interview.

Recent digital color passport photograph meeting U.S. visa photograph requirements (2x2 inches, taken within the last 6 months, white background).

Clear statement explaining the purpose of travel to the United States for tourism, including planned activities and duration of stay.

Confirmed round-trip flight itinerary or booking confirmation showing travel dates to and from the United States.

Accommodation booking confirmation or hotel reservation showing lodging arrangements during the stay in the United States.

Recent bank statements (typically last 3-6 months) demonstrating sufficient financial means to cover travel expenses during the visit to the United States.

Documentation establishing strong ties to Bulgaria, such as employment letter, property ownership, family relationships, or business ownership to demonstrate intent to return.

Fingerprints and photograph will be collected during the visa interview at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in Bulgaria as part of the biometric screening process.

Letter from employer confirming employment status and approval for time off during the visit, if applicable.
