Government processing fee, charged when application is ready for submission
Valid passport with 6+ months validity
Submit a valid passport that will not expire within the next 6 months. Photocopies of all pages, including previous U.S. visas, must be provided.
Proof of continuous residence in the U.S. for at least 5 years
Provide rental agreements, utility bills, school records, tax filings, or other official records showing uninterrupted U.S. residence for a minimum of five years.
Police clearance certificate
Obtain and upload police clearance certificates from every jurisdiction lived in during the prior 5 years, plus fingerprinting and biometric data submission.
Medical examination by approved physician
Complete a full medical exam with a physician approved by USCIS, including TB test, vaccination record, and HIV screening. Submit Form I-693.
Proof of payment of taxes for the preceding 5 years
Provide IRS transcripts or authenticated state tax filings showing all taxes paid for the last five years. Must resolve any outstanding IRS obligations.
Proof of funds: $7,500 USD
Bank statements or certified letters showing at least $7,500 in available liquid assets to support self and family members for 3 months after approval.
Application fee payment receipt
Upload confirmation of $2,000 fee payment for main applicant (additional fees may apply for dependents).
English language ability: Basic conversational proficiency
Submit evidence of English language ability through completion of USCIS interview or standardized test (such as IELTS score of 4.0 or equivalent) if requested.
Age between 18 and 65
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and not over 65 at the time of application submission.
No serious criminal convictions
Applicants must not have felony convictions. Misdemeanors may be reviewed individually. Submit court records or USCIS criminal history check results.
Optional: Evidence of employment history during U.S. residence
Upload pay stubs, W-2s, or employment contracts to demonstrate positive participation in the U.S. labor force. May expedite case management.
Optional: School transcripts for children or educational records for adults
Provide transcripts or proof of school enrollment while in the U.S. to supplement evidence of continuous residence and positive community engagement.
