You must submit a current passport with at least 6 months' validity as part of your application.
Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS)
Your licensed UK education provider will issue a unique CAS number after offering you an unconditional place. The CAS is essential and must be included in your application; it confirms course details and sponsor status.
Proof of funds: $17,500 USD (London) or $13,400 USD (outside London)
You must show funds to cover tuition fees for the first year plus living costs: £1529 per month up to 9 months for London, or £1171 per month up to 9 months outside London. Tuition fees and funds must be held in your account for at least 28 days before application and evidenced by bank statements or official sponsor letters. Currency values approximate to USD at recent exchange rates.
IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent
You must demonstrate English language ability at CEFR level B2: IELTS 5.5 overall (and per component) or equivalent qualification accepted by your education provider, unless exempt (certain nationals or academic progression).
Evidence of academic qualifications
You must provide original or official copies of certificates or transcripts for qualifications used to obtain your CAS offer (e.g., high school diploma, bachelor's degree, as requested by your provider).
Letter of parental consent (if under 18)
Applicants aged 16 or 17 must provide a letter from their parent(s) or legal guardian confirming support for travel, accommodation, and study arrangements in the UK.
Tuberculosis test results (for some countries)
Applicants from specific countries must provide a medical certificate showing they are free from active tuberculosis, issued by an approved clinic.
Police clearance certificate (if required by provider or course)
Some courses (e.g., healthcare, education) or providers may require a police certificate showing good conduct or no criminal record.
