Valid passport with 6+ months validity
Passport must have at least 6 months of validity from the application date. Must upload a scan of the main bio-data page.
Intention to reside in designated rural community
Formal statement or signed declaration that the applicant intends to live in the nominating designated community outside Quebec.
Certificate of recommendation from a designated community organization
A recommendation certificate issued by an economic development organization officially designated by IRCC for the RCIC program.
1 year of skilled work experience
Minimum 1 year (1,560 hours) of continuous, full-time work experience (or equivalent part-time) in the last 3 years. Experience must match the lead statement and core duties of the National Occupational Classification (NOC) for the intended occupation.
Offer of employment in a designated occupation
A genuine, full-time, non-seasonal job offer from an employer in the participating rural community, in a priority occupation identified by the designated economic development organization.
Bachelor's degree or higher
Minimum educational requirement of a completed bachelor's degree or higher from a recognized institution. Foreign degrees must have an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA).
IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent
Provide valid language test results (IELTS, CELPIP, or equivalent) showing minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 5 in all four skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
Proof of funds: $13,757 USD
Provide bank statements or financial documents demonstrating access to settlement funds of at least $13,757 USD for a single applicant (higher for accompanying family).
Medical examination by approved physician
Submit the results of an immigration medical exam performed by a panel physician approved by Canadian authorities.
Police clearance certificate
Provide police clearance certificates from all countries or territories where the applicant has resided for 6 months or more since age 18.
Age between 18 and 65
Applicant must be at least 18 years old at the time of application and not older than 65.
