Sironka Valley Resort: Activities and Prices for a Day Out

Sironka Valley Resort & Spa, on Magadi Road past Kiserian, sells its activities one by one: a round-trip zipline over the valley for KES 2,140 per person, a suspended sky bike for KES 2,675, 20 minutes for two at its hanging Sky Café for KES 7,704, a guided painting session for KES 963 and photoshoot access for KES 1,070. On top of those sit packages for a proposal, a birthday or a sip-and-paint afternoon, and team days for groups of ten or more. Everything runs on demand, the resort confirms your session time after you book, and nothing includes transport or a meal unless the package says so. Here is what each one includes, who it suits and how to put a day together.

Where it is and how booking works

The meeting point for every activity is the resort itself on Magadi Road, Kiserian, in Kajiado County. You book a session, the host confirms the time, and you make your own way there; no listing includes transport, and meals and drinks are extra unless they are written into a package. Wear secure closed shoes for anything at height, tell the host about any health, mobility or recent-injury concerns before you take part, and expect the activity team to delay or stop the zipline, sky bike or Sky Café when the weather is unsafe.

The zipline rides out and glides back for KES 2,140

Sironka Valley Round-Trip Ziplining is two rides for one booking: out across the valley and a glide back, with harness, helmet and gloves, a safety briefing and the activity team at each end. The draw is the open Rift Valley view rather than distance. Secure loose items before you clip in. If you want the cheaper single zipline with add-ons, Ngong Hills is the alternative; we compare the two in Adventure Activities near Nairobi.

Sky biking is the one to book for the view: KES 2,675

Sky Biking Above Sironka Valley puts you on a bicycle suspended on a cable high above the valley, pedalling across with the hills below. The resort bills it as Africa's longest and tallest sky-biking course; no previous experience is required. Safety equipment, fitting, a briefing and staff supervision are included. Groups of ten or more pay KES 1,926 per person. Closed shoes are compulsory, and the host can postpone the ride in bad weather. It is slower and more exposed than the zipline, so it suits people who want to look around rather than get it over with.

The Sky Café seats two above the valley for KES 7,704

The Sky Café Suspended Experience for Two is a table for a couple hung out over the valley. The base Bronze package is 20 minutes with two cups of coffee or tea, priced per couple. Two upgrades exist: Silver adds ten minutes, two glasses of wine and drone footage, and Gold is 40 minutes with the wine, the drone footage and the option to dine on the café, at KES 11,984 for two. Meals are extra at every level, including Gold, so order food separately if you want to eat up there. Stay seated as directed and keep phones and keys secured; the platform is at height and the weather can close it.

Painting and a photoshoot are the cheap ways in

Paint the Sironka Valley is the lowest-priced activity at KES 963 per person: a canvas, paints and creative guidance in the resort's scenic painting spots, with the valley as the subject, and no experience needed. It is the calm half of a day for anyone who does not want to go up on a cable. The social version for groups is in our paint and sip guide.

Create your own canvas in Sironka’s scenic painting zones with the valley as inspiration. Materials, a canvas and creative guidance are included, making this an easygoing activity for individuals, friends, families or groups.

Sironka Valley Photoshoot Access is venue access only, at KES 1,070 per person, or KES 963 per person for a group: you use the designated photo areas and the valley backdrop, and you bring your own photographer, camera, styling and wardrobe. It is built for graduation, engagement and family shoots where you already have a photographer; the resort does not supply one.

Archery and the children's package

The resort also runs a coached 30-minute archery session with 12 arrows per person, bow and range equipment, technique drills and target games such as quick-fire rounds and balloon targets, pitched at first-timers as well as people who already shoot. Archery is the included activity choice in the proposal, birthday and sip-and-paint packages below, which is the easiest way to get it. For children aged 3 to 12 there is a separate play package: a mini zipline, a trampoline, painting, a beginner wall climb and supervised play, with a responsible adult required to stay available. Ask us for the current archery and children's prices when you book.

Packages for a proposal, a birthday or a group of ten

The Sironka Valley Proposal Package is KES 4,494 per person, booked for two: a decorated table with the valley behind it, a meal and drinks, a photo booth, music, a hostess and one complimentary painting or archery session. Professional photography beyond the photo booth is not included, so bring your own photographer if you want the moment shot properly, and add the photoshoot access above if they need the grounds.

For groups of at least ten, the Birthday Adventure Package is KES 3,317 per person with a meal, juice and water, a photo booth, music, a hostess and a choice of ziplining or archery; the cake is not included unless you arrange it. The Sironka Sip & Paint Group Experience is KES 3,745 per person, also for ten or more, with the guided painting session and materials, one drink each, music and the same zipline-or-archery choice. Work teams have two further options, a facilitated team-building day that includes any two of ziplining, sky biking and archery, and a corporate function with a buffet lunch where activities are added separately; both are for ten or more and are quoted per team, so see End-of-Year Staff Party Ideas in Nairobi.

How to plan the day

For two people, the zipline and sky bike together are KES 4,815 per person, and adding the Bronze Sky Café for the pair brings a couple's day to KES 17,334 before food. For a family, painting at KES 963 and the children's package are the daytime core, with one adult on the zipline while the other stays with the children. For a group of ten, the birthday and sip-and-paint packages already bundle one activity, so compare them against buying the zipline and painting separately (KES 3,103 per person) before you pick. Book the cable activities for the morning and leave painting or the Sky Café for later; weather decisions are the host's, and the slow activities are the ones that survive a change of plan.
